Russell Bogdan is a traditional painter offigures and landscapes with over 25 years of experience doing commissions and shows. He's influenced by a variety of European masters of the past who followed a more classical aesthetic.

Aside from gallery exhibitions, much of his output has revolved around the time honored path of traditional patronage. During his career, he's received numerous commissions from designers, architects and private collectors internationally,  including the United States Capital.  He's been featured on the cover of International Artist magazine and has taught drawing through the Smithsonian and the Corcoran, and has also conducted private workshops at the National Gallery of Art (DC).  His interest in historic methods prompted a solo exhibit and lecture given at the Thomas Cole Museum in NY. He's currently writing an educational book on historic art methods.
